Mike Richardson
Mike and Bryce have a lifetime’s interest in wildlife, they have developed their skills and knowledge through being actively involved in many aspects of ecology and management, and have many years experience dealing with badgers and badger related issues. Their work has taken them to many parts of the country, and they have gained an extensive portfolio, including Badger exclusion and sett closures, artificial sett design and construction, live excavation and cage trapping, vaccination, surveys and monitoring.
Wildlifeco have successfully closed badger setts affecting a wide range of sites, including undermining of property, new road schemes, and a reservoir development. Our recent projects include, artificial setts for commercial and residential development, badger exclusion, sett closure and reprofiling of scheduled monuments.
Bryce Blandford-Corp
Trained by F.E.R.A and the Welsh Government in sett surveying, cage trapping badgers, animal welfare, handling and administering prescription medicines, both Mike and Bryce are Lantra accredited surveyors and licensed to cage trap and vaccinate badgers.
During 2012, they were employed by the Welsh Government on the Bovine T.B. Eradication Programme in West Wales and successfully vaccinated over 200 badgers.
Wildlifeco have completed a two year programme of sett closures and vaccination at the world heritage site Stonehenge, working in partnership with English Heritage and Natural England several bronze age barrows have been restored and protected from further damage.
